Antonia Lofaso
Antonia's Lofaso invites guests to explore her inner world by the food she cooks. Her food inspires curiosity. This was the result after she stepped outside of into the Long Island suburbs and entered the culturally rich environment in Los Angeles. Carnitas, Cavatelli and other dishes can all coexist within a menu. This is a constantly evolving taste. The dishes she serves share a single vision, embracing the present and reminiscing on the old. Scopa Italian Roots, which Lofaso created in 2013 was well-received because it was inspired by her Italian heritage. Lofaso's old-school Italian rendition is widely regarded as one among Los Angeles' most captivating restaurants. Lofaso's food is consistently delicious, welcoming and pleasing. Lofaso worked under culinary greats to learn their refined methods. However, she was not afraid to make extraordinary decisions to honor her gut instincts. After a brief period she rose to the very top at Wolfgang Puck's Spago. In the following years, she worked with a variety of famous people and transformed a variety of Los Angeles restaurants. Lofaso and Sal Aurora partnered in 2011 to create Black Market Liquor Bar Studio City. Lofaso's home was found within Black Market Liquor Bar and her business relationships. Lofaso was able to finally experience the freedom of expression she had wanted. Black Market does not have one direction and this is its intention. The menu could start with potato chips dill, shishito chilies and then go on to the Korean wings dish and meatballs. Antonia is the center of this dizzying assortment. In her long career Lofaso has judged her accomplishment through her ability to connect with her viewers and remain in line with her personal style. Her memorable appearances in Top Chef Chicago & Top Chef: All Stars highlighted her personality outside the cooking area. The talents of Lofaso are evident in her recurring roles as the CNBC's Restaurant Startup judge, and on Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child & ABC's Real O'neals. Lofaso has teamed up with Penguin Publishing to produce The Busy Mother's Cookbook - 100 Recipes of easy, Delicious, Home Cooked Meals. In this book, she discusses her experience as a mother and a student in the French Culinary Institute. Lofaso believes that the main source of all her accomplishments is her kitchen. In this way, she is always on the pulse. She is transforming the aesthetic by redesigning chef wear with a focus on style and function with her own brand Chefletics. Lofaso will adhere to the vision of her customers. The brand she has developed is Antonia Lofaso Catering to help achieve that.
