Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American screen and stage actress, best known for her film roles as a character in Ray Undercover Brother and on the tv show The Mentalist. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in African-American Studies at Brown University as well as a Masters in acting at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Aunjanue l. Ellis, is an American producer and actress who has been in the theater and TV and films as and is present on both sides of the screen. Her career began as an actress in theatre and then went on to be a part of numerous television shows, both mainstream and independent films. She gained fame for playing Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico. After that, she was able to make an appearance in BET's epic TV series The Book of Negroes. Her first professional performance was as Ariel as Ariel, The Tempest. Her stage credits include The Broadway performance of Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. In terms of her work in the film industry, her best-known roles include Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. In the world of television, her character in ABC's police drama High Incident is well known.
